Eddie Murphy has married his longtime partner, Paige Butcher, in a private ceremony on July 9 in Anguilla, as revealed by exclusive photos obtained by people.com.
The 63-year-old Coming to America star donned a sophisticated white Brioni suit, while Paige, 44, looked stunning in a strapless lace gown by Mira Zwillinger featuring a corseted bodice.
The couple, who got engaged in 2018 during Paige’s pregnancy with their youngest child, have two children together: daughter Izzy, 8, and son Max, 5. This marks Eddie’s second marriage, following his 1993-2006 union with Nicole Mitchell Murphy, with whom he shares three daughters: Bria, 34, Shayne, 29, and Bella, 22.
Eddie also has children from previous relationships: Eric, 34, with Paulette McNeely; Christian, 33, with Tamara Hood; and Angel, 17, with Melanie Brown. Reflecting on his family, Eddie told E! News, “My kids are all grown-ups now, except three of them. The two little ones that are 5 and 8, all they’ve seen is Shrek and Mulan—and little pieces of Coming to America.”
In a heartwarming twist, Eddie’s oldest daughter, Bria, recently followed in his footsteps by appearing in “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” alongside her real-life husband, Michael Xavier. Eddie humorously recounted on Today, “She’s the one that arrested me, and my son-in-law tased me in the neck. It was surreal.”
