The highly-anticipated Detty December Fest has revealed the first wave of headline acts for its 2025 event, featuring American hip-hop star Busta Rhymes, alongside Tanzanian artiste Juma Jux and Nigeria’s own Bella Shmurda.
The festival, which runs from December 6-31, 2025, according to a statement by the organisers, is set to be a major cultural and tourism event, receiving a national endorsement from Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture & the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa. The Minister’s video message highlights the festival as a key contributor to Nigeria’s cultural ecosystem, strengthening the nation’s global creative presence and attracting holiday tourism.
Detty December Fest will be hosted across two primary locations in Lagos: Ilubirin, Ikoyi – Bourdillon Road, and The Livespot Entertarium on Oba Elegushi Beach Road, Lekki.

The festival promises to capture the full spirit of Nigeria’s globally recognised December season by hosting multi-stage concerts, nightlife experiences, fashion and cultural showcases, culinary pop-ups, and art installations.
Detty December Fest is produced by Livespot360, the creative company behind major African events such as Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) and the Livespot X Festival, which has featured acts like Cardi B, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
