Demi Lovato cancels tour dates over health concerns

Demi Lovato has announced the cancellation of several tour dates and a delay to the start of her upcoming “It’s Not That Deep Tour,” citing a need to protect her mental health, according to deadline.com.

In a candid statement shared on social media, the singer explained that she had “overextended” herself during preparations. Lovato told her fans, the “Lovatics,” that she required more time to rest and rehearse to ensure she could sustain the full run of the tour.

The tour, originally set to begin on April 10, will now kick off in Orlando on April 13. While the Orlando date has been pushed back, tickets for the original show will remain valid.

However, fans in several cities will miss out entirely.

“I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour,” Lovato stated. “I am so sorry to those who planned to be there.”

Ticketholders for the cancelled dates will receive automatic refunds. Following the new opening night in Orlando, the tour is still scheduled to visit major cities including New York, Toronto, Chicago, and London, before concluding in Houston on 25 May.

This announcement comes amid a busy period for the star, who was recently confirmed as an executive producer for the upcoming Camp Rock 3.
