Davido has clinched the title of the most streamed Afrobeats album of 2023 on Spotify with his sensational release, Timeless. Spotify provided the data to World Music Views (WMV) on Tuesday, unveiling the dominance of Davido in this year’s music landscape.
Asake’s Work of Art secured the second spot on the list, closely followed by Burna Boy’s I Told Them… and Rema’s Raves and Roses at third and fourth places, respectively.
The top 10 for the year also features Amaarae’s Fountain Baby, Olamide’s Unruly, Mohbad’s Blessed, Adekunle Gold’s Tequila Ever After, Joeboy’s Body & Soul, and Sincerely, Benson by Bnxn.
Notably, Davido’s track “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys takes the crown as the most streamed Afrobeats song on Spotify. The song has become a sensation since its release, dominating both the music scene and various social media platforms. Other notable tracks in the top 10 include Victony’s “Soweto,” JayO’s ’22,’ Rema’s “Charm,” and Burna Boy’s “City Boys”.
