Davido to headline Afreximbank’s Music Festival

Davido will headline Afreximbank’s music festival “AFREXIMfest” on June 28, 2025. The event will serve as the finale for the 32nd Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM2025) at the Transcorp Event Centre, AAM2025 Main Hall, from 7:30pm to midnight.

The festival features a diverse lineup of international and African artistes alongside the Afrobeats superstar. Performers include Grammy Award-winning Haitian-American musician Wyclef Jean, Nigerian rapper Phyno, Cameroonian singer Charlotte Dipanda, and Ugandan dance group Ghetto Kids. Comedians Basketmouth and Forever will provide entertainment, while DJs Cuppy and Kiss will handle the music between acts.

AFREXIMfest celebrates African and Caribbean culture as part of Afreximbank’s initiative to support creative industries and promote cultural exchange across the continent and diaspora. The festival aims to unite attendees through music while complementing the economic discussions central to AAM2025.

The 32nd Afreximbank Annual Meetings, hosted by Nigeria, are expected to be the bank’s largest gathering in history. Over 6,000 delegates, including heads of state, government officials, industry leaders and economic experts from Africa and the Caribbean, will attend the June 25-28 meetings focused on “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience.”

The festival will showcase Africa and the Caribbean’s rich cultural heritage while concluding a week of significant economic discourse aimed at accelerating trade opportunities and fostering innovation.
