Christina Aguilera kicked off her Las Vegas residency with a bang on New Year’s Eve, dazzling the audience with her powerful vocals, glamorous costumes and sizzling burlesque routines. The show, which is called “The Xperience,” takes place at the Venetian’s opulent new venue, the Voltaire Belle de Nuit.
Aguilera, known for her powerhouse vocals and fearless attitude, delivered a high-energy performance that included all her biggest hits, from “Genie in a Bottle” and “Beautiful” to “Fighter” and “Ain’t No Other Man.” She also performed some of her more recent material, including from her 2018 Latin pop album Liberation.
But it wasn’t just Aguilera’s voice that wowed the crowd. She also put on a visually stunning show, with elaborate costumes, dazzling dancers and stunning visuals. For one number, she emerged from a giant martini glass, dressed in a crystal-encrusted showgirl outfit. For another, she donned a feathered headdress and danced with a troupe of male dancers.
The show also featured a number of burlesque-inspired routines, which played to Aguilera’s sassy and confident persona. She twirled tassels, ripped off corsets and even did a striptease routine that left the audience cheering.
“I’m so excited to be back in Vegas,” Aguilera said during the show. “This city has always been good to me, and I can’t wait to give you all an unforgettable experience.”
Judging by the opening night’s performance, Aguilera’s “The Xperience” is sure to be a hit. The show is packed with excitement, glamour and pure entertainment value.
The show, set to run for six months, is directed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall and the costumes are designed by Aguilera’s longtime collaborator, Zaldy.
