Chris Pratt baffled by giant Arnold Schwarzenegger Christmas gift

Chris Pratt has revealed he is facing a festive decorative dilemma after his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, gifted him a “massive” and slightly surreal piece of holiday art, per today.com.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the 46-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star admitted that while the Terminator icon is a prolific gift-giver, his latest offering has left the Pratt-Schwarzenegger household wondering where on earth to put it.

“His love language is giving gifts, that’s for sure,” Pratt told the audience. “This year, one was a six-foot by eight-foot portrait painting of all three of my children and him as Santa Claus.”

The actor described the oil painting as “very lifelike,” featuring a costumed Schwarzenegger snacking on a cookie while his three grandchildren, whom Pratt shares with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, peek from behind a Christmas tree.

Despite the sentiment, the sheer scale of the piece presents a seasonal logistical nightmare. “I’m not sure exactly what we’re supposed to do with that for the rest of the year,” Pratt quipped. “I think we’ll have to break that out in November sometime.”

Fellow guest Dawn French noted that such a specific family heirloom is impossible to “re-gift.” However, the painting wasn’t the only item under the tree from Arnie. Pratt also received a pair of screen-worn crocodile boots from one of the action star’s former roles, noting that the two share the same shoe size.

The exchange highlights the close bond between the Hollywood heavyweights. Schwarzenegger, 78, has previously praised Pratt as a “great son-in-law” and a “fantastic” father.
