In a shocking incident at his Malibu residence, actor Charlie Sheen was allegedly assaulted by his 47-year-old neighbour, Electra Schrock, on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed Schrock’s arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to cause great bodily injury, and residential burglary. Deputies identified Sheen as the victim, detailing that Schrock reportedly ripped his shirt and attempted to strangle him before retreating to her house. TMZ revealed that the assailant had dumped trash at Sheen’s doorstep the day before the attack.
Although paramedics were called to the scene, the 58-year-old actor did not require hospitalisation. Schrock appeared in court on Friday, and Sheen’s representatives have yet to comment on the incident. This isn’t the first encounter between Sheen and Schrock, as the actor claimed she was possibly the person who previously targeted his car with a sticky substance.
The assault occurred just days after Sheen proudly shared with People that he is approaching six years of sobriety from alcohol. He attributed this positive change to his commitment to a consistent and single dad lifestyle, raising his 14-year-old twin boys and maintaining a sense of responsibility towards his other children. The actor candidly revealed that a breaking point in his drinking habits was missing an appointment with his daughter, leading him to make a life-changing decision to stop drinking.
