Chaka Khan has described the upcoming West End musical chronicling her illustrious career as the “greatest honour” of her life, per standard.co.uk. The production, titled “I’m Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical,” will make its debut at London’s Peacock Theatre in March 2026.
The musical promises to take audiences on a journey through Khan’s remarkable life, from her 1970s beginnings with funk band Rufus to her meteoric rise as a solo artiste with chart-topping hits including “I’m Every Woman,” “Ain’t Nobody,” and “I Feel For You.”
“Many of you know that my life has always influenced my music, but you may not know the full story,” the 72-year-old icon stated. “I’ve lived a rich, beautiful and sometimes difficult life, and now those experiences will come alive on stage.”
Khan expressed particular excitement about the London premiere, noting the city “holds a special place in my heart,” and she looks forward to sharing this milestone with devoted fans who have “sung, danced and stood by me through it all.”
The production will not only showcase Khan’s impressive musical catalogue but also explore her notable friendships with music legends Prince, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder.
Producer Adrian Grant shared his enthusiasm: “I grew up listening to hits such as ‘Ain’t Nobody’ and ‘I Feel For You,’ with her powerhouse vocals and electric videos which have left an undeniable imprint on popular culture.”
Written by Nia T Hill and directed by Racky Plews, the musical features choreography by Jade Hackett with casting to be announced. Performances will run from March 5-28, 2026, with tickets going on sale May 19.
