Celine Dion plots spectacular Paris concert residency

Celine Dion is reportedly preparing for a sensational return to the spotlight with a series of concert dates in Paris this autumn, according to music-news.com. The Canadian icon is said to be planning a residency in the French capital as she continues to manage her journey with Stiff Person Syndrome.

Speculation reached fever pitch this week when posters featuring the titles of her greatest hits, including “My Heart Will Go On,” began appearing across Parisian streets. The singer further fuelled the rumours by sharing a nostalgic collection of photographs from her previous visits to the city on social media.

This anticipated comeback follows Dion’s breathtaking performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, where she delivered a moving rendition of Édith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour from the Eiffel Tower. According to reports in the French-Canadian press, the 57-year-old star is expected to perform twice weekly throughout September and October at the Paris La Défense Arena.

While the singer has not yet officially confirmed the dates, the shows would mark her first full concert run since March 2020. Dion previously stepped away from the stage in 2022 following her diagnosis with a rare neurological disorder that affects muscle control and vocal ability. After years of recovery and a triumphant Olympic cameo, Paris appears ready to welcome the legendary vocalist back to the stage for her most significant chapter yet.
