Brandy and Monica are joining forces for their first-ever co-headlining “The Boy Is Mine” tour, named after their iconic 1998 chart-topper, per variety.com.
According to the outlet, the 24-city arena tour kicks off in Cincinnati on October 16 and concludes in Houston on December 7, with highly anticipated stops in major cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles and Brooklyn.
This highly anticipated reunion will feature an impressive lineup of special guests including Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, acclaimed R&B artiste Muni Long and “American Idol” sensation Jamal Roberts.
“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy shared in a statement, emphasising the tour’s significance beyond just music, calling it “a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.” Monica echoed this sentiment, highlighting the enduring impact of “The Boy Is Mine” and expressing gratitude for the fans who have supported their individual journeys and this powerful reunion.
Their classic duet, “The Boy Is Mine,” famously spent a record-breaking 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite past tensions, the duo has collaborated several times since, including on 2012’s “It All Belongs to Me” and last year’s Grammy-nominated remix of Ariana Grande’s “The Boy Is Mine.”
Presale tickets for “The Boy Is Mine” tour begin on June 26, with general sales opening on June 27.
