BigXthaPlug and Post Malone search for solace in the wilderness in the heartbroken video for their new collaboration, “Cold,” a track featured on BigX’s latest album, I Hope You’re Happy, per uproxx.com.
The song, like other tracks on the album, taps into elements of country music, providing a raw, introspective backdrop for BigX’s musings on life and love. In “Cold,” he reflects on a difficult breakup that leaves him feeling “cold”—a split he admits was prompted by his own choices.

“At the age of 21, this life got wicked,” he recalls on the track. “Felt all I ever needed was love, but now I beg for distance / Then love started to fade the very moment I got richer / Like I faded from the pictures, all because I made decisions.”
Despite BigXthaPlug’s insistence that I Hope You’re Happy is not strictly a country music album, he has recently been embraced by the country establishment. This is thanks to the record’s “meet in the middle” approach, which features collaborations with genre mainstays like Darius Rucker, Bailey Zimmerman, and fellow crossover artist Jelly Roll.
Just days ago, BigXthaPlug took the stage at the CMAs to perform his collaboration with Luke Combs, “Pray Hard,” and he is already booked to perform at the Stagecoach festival next year.
