The Grammy-nominated R&B icon, celebrated for her soulful hits like “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” was travelling in a van that overturned early Saturday morning after a performance. Beyond music, Stone also made her mark in film, appearing in The Hot Chick (2002) and The Fighting Temptations (2003), alongside stars like Rob Schneider, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyoncé.
Her daughter, Diamond, a musician who performs under the name Ladi Diamond, expressed her devastation on social media, stating she felt “numb” and had earlier asked for prayers for her family.
