Emerging Afro-soul artist Amavi Sól has entered the music scene with the release of his debut single, “Íhúgbá,” a track defined by its emotional clarity and honest approach to romance.
Departing from the high-energy spectacle often associated with contemporary hits, “Íhúgbá” offers a calm, reflective exploration of love as a grounding and life-affirming force. The title itself is rooted in the Igbo concept of pleasant turns and bright possibilities, drawing inspiration from the quiet comfort of finding a companion who “feels like home”.

The single blends soulful vocal expression with gentle Afro-influenced rhythms, creating an intimate soundscape designed for both quiet reflection and joyful celebration.
Tony Usidamen, Creative Director of the Amavi Sól project, noted that the release contributes to a broader movement within the industry.
“Afro-soul and Afrobeats continue to show the world a softer, more human side of Nigeria – one rooted in depth and emotional honesty,” Usidamen said.
He described the track as a reflection of the beauty found in emotional expression within the modern Nigerian sound.
Amavi Sól, who describes himself as a poet at his core, focuses his artistry on lived experiences rather than excess.
“Íhúgbá” is now available to stream on all major digital platforms.
