Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has revealed he’s stepping into the ring for the upcoming film adaptation of the iconic video game franchise, “Street Fighter,” according to a hiphopdx.com report. The rapper and actor, 49, announced on his Instagram page that he has started work on the new movie, confirming he will play the character Balrog, a role previously held by Michael Clarke Duncan and Grand L. Bush.
The highly anticipated reboot is helmed by director Kitao Sakurai and is scheduled for a 2026 release.
50 Cent joins a star-studded cast that includes Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian, and Orville Peck. The film will also feature WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
